These reproduction VISOR HINGE COVERS are exact copies of the originals. The originals tend to get very brittle over the years and break and then fall out, leaving an ugly void at the top corners of the inner windshield frame. Unfortunately GM has not serviced this item for years. Care must be taken in installing the new units. It s best to do on a warm day, to allow for the flexing of the new part to fit in the existing brackets.
